For a hotel flooring purchase, compare specific WPC and SPC assemblies against the requirements of each zone. Choose between technically acceptable offers using complete installed costs, not the material-family name alone.
We recommend agreeing the acceptance criteria with your project team before requesting bids. This helps you avoid negotiating a low price for flooring the designer or installer cannot approve.
Compare the Complete Flooring System
WPC and SPC are material-family names, not performance grades. The core, wear layer, backing, joints and installation all matter. This guide is a procurement checklist; it does not assign a fire, slip or acoustic rating to a product.
Our published flooring range includes SPC and other PVC flooring references; confirm each model's actual core. WPC flooring availability requires separate confirmation, and our WPC wall panels are not flooring alternatives.
Approve a flooring assembly, not a category name. Record the plank, underlay and installation conditions together so evidence cannot be transferred to an unrelated construction.

Set Requirements by Hotel Zone
For guest rooms, consider appearance, underfoot feel, cleaning and impact-sound requirements. For corridors and lobbies, include rolling luggage, housekeeping equipment and expected traffic.
Ask your project reviewer which evidence is needed for each zone. Do not assume one core type is always quieter or more durable.
Pool surrounds, showers and exposed decks need a separate wet-area or exterior specification. An indoor floor listing does not establish suitability for these areas.
| Requirement | What to compare for each candidate |
|---|---|
| Fire performance | Report for the exact flooring construction and applicable classification method |
| Slip performance | Test method, surface finish and conditions relevant to the intended location |
| Acoustics | Tested plank, underlay, substrate and mounting; distinguish impact sound from airborne sound |
| Wear | Wear-layer specification and applicable use classification for the selected model |
| Moisture | Installation limits, subfloor condition, joints, edges and cleaning instructions |
| Cost | Current quotation, preparation, underlay, labor, waste, freight and maintenance |

Use a Sample Review to Close Specific Questions
Compare candidate finishes under the planned lighting and inspect adjoining plank joints. Ask the installer to review the proposed subfloor, thresholds and installation instructions.
A visual mockup cannot establish fire, acoustic or slip ratings. Record appearance approval separately from the project review of applicable performance reports.

Compare Quotations on the Same Basis
Ask each bidder to price the same area, installation build-up and delivery terms. Separate material, preparation, underlay, fitting and freight so omissions remain visible.
Include replacement stock, storage and any access restrictions in your purchasing brief. For an operating hotel, ask the contractor how installation affects room availability and handover.
We recommend comparing commercial terms only after technical acceptance. A cheaper plank can still create additional preparation or installation work, so category names cannot establish a cost winner.
| Bid status | Your purchasing response |
|---|---|
| Report does not match the assembly | Request clarification before approving that zone |
| Site preparation excluded | Obtain the missing contractor price |
| Sample or joint detail unresolved | Keep the candidate pending approval |
| Technical scope accepted | Compare complete cost, schedule and contractual terms |
Approve a Model, Not a Category
Record the SKU, finish, thickness, backing, report identifiers and approved sample in the specification. Ask the responsible project professional to review the evidence against destination requirements.
Send your hotel flooring brief with zones, quantities, destination and shortlisted references. We can review the sourcing request; availability and suitability require confirmation for each proposed construction.
