Compare UV marble sheets and natural marble using the same wall layout, appearance brief and installation scope. Choose after reviewing samples, technical suitability and complete quotations for the actual products.
For project buyers, a lower material price does not settle the decision. We recommend listing handling, support and finishing work separately so your comparison captures costs beyond the surface material.
Choose for the Intended Surface
UV-coated marble-look sheets offer a decorative alternative for vertical interior surfaces. Natural marble is a different material with different fabrication and support requirements. Compare the exact products and installed assemblies rather than assigning one performance value to either family.
The wall sheets in this catalog must not be treated as flooring or load-bearing worktops. Request a separately specified product for horizontal or traffic-bearing surfaces.
Our published sheet range is a starting point for decorative wall sourcing, not an offer of natural stone. Obtain a separate stone specification and quotation when evaluating that alternative.
Compare Like with Like
| Topic | Information to request for both options |
|---|---|
| Weight | Mass per area for the actual thickness, plus backing, fixings and support |
| Fire performance | Applicable report for the exact material and installed construction |
| Water exposure | Suitable locations, joints, edge sealing, substrate and waterproofing details |
| Surface durability | Test method and specimen details; cleaning and chemical-exposure guidance |
| Installation | Approved substrate, adhesive or fixing system, support and movement details |
| Cost | Current material price, cutting, waste, preparation, labor, freight and maintenance |
Ask each bidder to state the same units and exclusions beside these fields. Mark missing information as unresolved instead of treating a blank cell as zero cost.

Approve Appearance and Layout Together
Compare physical samples under the planned lighting before choosing the finish. Review pattern direction, visible joints, corners and cut edges against your wall elevations.
Agree how decorative variation will be judged against the retained sample. A catalog photograph cannot confirm the exact appearance of a later order.
Approve the layout before estimating cutting allowance. Ask the installer to identify usable offcuts and any spare stock needed for future repairs.

Treat Hardness Scales Separately
Mohs hardness and pencil hardness use different methods and describe different test responses. Their numbers are not interchangeable. Ask for comparable tests relevant to the intended wear and cleaning conditions instead of ranking dissimilar scales side by side.
Review Support and Wet Areas
A lighter panel does not automatically eliminate the need to assess the supporting wall or fixings. The substrate, panel size, backing and installation method still require review. Covering existing tile is only an option after its condition, adhesion and compatibility have been checked.
For bathrooms, distinguish a decorative finish from the waterproofing assembly behind it. Confirm the selected sheet, joints, edges, adhesive and substrate for the actual exposure before approval.

Build a Project Cost Comparison
This guide does not claim a fixed saving, installation speed or maintenance interval. Obtain quotations for the same dimensions, location and scope. Include fabrication, handling, support, site preparation, installation, freight and the agreed maintenance plan.
| Quotation gap | What your purchasing team should request |
|---|---|
| Weight or package dimensions missing | Confirmed figures for handling and freight estimates |
| Substrate condition unknown | Site assessment and any preparation allowance |
| Joints or edge finishing excluded | Itemized installation details and costs |
| Technical evidence incomplete | Review of the exact product and assembly before approval |
| Replacement arrangements unclear | Written responsibility for material, freight and labor |
Compare only options your project reviewer accepts for the intended surface. Keep the approved specification attached to the final commercial comparison so cheaper substitutions remain visible.
Send a Brief That Suppliers Can Quote
Prepare wall dimensions, finish references, substrate details, quantities and destination before sending your inquiry. Include the required documents, delivery scope and questions still needing confirmation.
We can review the marble-look sheet request and seek current model-specific information. Natural stone availability and any proposed alternative require separate confirmation rather than assumptions from this comparison.
